Student of the Month Finale

Katie Stephenson was one of the few people to receive the student of the month award. This was announced in April at Bowie High School. Stephenson earned this award for being an outstanding student, and helping her teachers.

Stephenson has been working hard all month and her award is well deserved. She hasn't stopped studying and all her effort has payed off.

"The hardest part about getting 'Student of the Month' was knowing that there were other good students out there," Stephenson said.

Stephenson has been trying to get this award all year. After a few months it is finally hers.

"Katie has ben working so hard and definitely deserves the award," Stephenson's best friend Bella Jameson said.

Stephenson hasn't quit and plans to keep working hard. She has already gotten the award but is not going to quit now.

"Some problems I have encountered are being tired, always being busy with no time to relax, and no alone time," Stephenson said.

Dealing with stress has been another problem but over all these challenges Stephenson has stayed on top of it.

"Katie is one of the smartest students in my class. She always tries her best and gets amazing grades" Stephenson's english teacher Dwight Schrute said.

Katie is in a group of students who all try their best in school. She is not the first of her friends to get the award and many are still trying. They all support each other and study together.

"I am so proud of my daughter. There are so many students in this school and to be one out of all of them is outstanding. I hope she makes it even farther and caries this to college as well," Katie's mother Patricia Stephenson said.
Stephenson's parents have helped her a lot with school and have provide moral support. Getting this far hasn't been easy for her.

"My parents have helped push me to work hard and do my best," Stephenson said.

Stephens Parents expect a lot from her but not too much to overload her. She is a bright student and can do lots.

"If there was one thing I could do differently it would be to help out my teachers more in the classroom," Stephenson said.

The Nut Graf

The Nut Graf is the sentence following the introduction paragraph. It explains why the story is important, also hooking the reader. The Graf is also used as a bridge to connect the intro to the story, giving the story more to explain in detail, and to prep for the body of the story.
The Nut Graf's length can depend on the story, usually a few sentences long. A Nut Graf has to be placed after the Intro sentence. When prepping for the body, the Nut Graf can pull in some new information.
